This is a guided bushwalk where we walk and talk about native plants and wildlife, encouraging participants to be detectives and explore the natural world. They can be prompted to search for different types of leaves, insects, or animal tracks and document their findings in a nature journal.
To discuss their findings, at the end of this walk, we will sit down together and enjoy some healthy picnic snacks.

CARD GAMES OR STORY BOOK ROLE PLAY
Board Games and card games are perfect for supporting social and emotional development. Within these games a simple social script on winning and losing, team work, turn taking are explored. Winning and losing can cause conflict, so it's important to teach children how to react in both situations. Through the games children learn that winning and sometimes losing are important to playing fair. The game is a vehicle to teach important life skills. The conversations had during this activity are subtle but hugely important.

ACTIVE INDOOR PLAY
Engaging in indoor physical activities at Adventure Caretakers offers a unique and supportive environment for children of all ages, including those with hyper-sensory awareness, and anxiety disorders. Trampolines and other physical indoor activities serve as a dynamic platform for promoting improved balance, coordination, strength, and emotional regulation. The natural release of endorphins and increased serotonin levels contribute to a sense of wellness and reduced anxiety.
Trampoline activities also enhance behaviour, social interactions, and age-appropriate developmental skills, making Adventure Caretakers an ideal space for positive experiences and growth.
